Our Program

​

  • Pope Volleyball has a long and celebrated history of success with a consistently talented group of athletes and trainers.
     

  • We captured the State Title in 2022 and 2018 and finished as the #3 Team in the State in 2021 and #2 in 2020. The team finished the 2022 as the #13 ranked team IN THE COUNTRY. The Hounds were Region Champions in ‘22, ‘21 and ‘20. We celebrate multiple Region Players of the Year and numerous First and Second Team All-State, All-Region, and All-County selections annually. We have had at least one senior sign to play college volleyball in every recent season.
     

  • Pope Volleyball players forever strive for academic excellence with at least 1/2 of our Varsity juniors and seniors achieving Scholar Athlete status annually.
     

  • We celebrate competitive success at the Junior Varsity level (Cobb County Champions in ‘21!) as well as with our Youth teams, with the entire program reaching as young as 3rd graders.
     

  • Pope Volleyball Coaches Erica Miller and Katie Kirian’s vision for our players to DREAM, BELIEVE, BECOME, BE expressed through G.R.I.T. (gratitude, resilience, intention, together) is certainly alive and well in our PVB program.
     

  • We invite you to consider becoming a sponsor for the 2023-2024 school year and believe that this group of young women, the athletes, scholars, and leaders that they are, will make you proud to be associated with Pope High School Volleyball.

How Sponsorship Helps

 

  • The commitment of our community benefactors helps to keep player dues at an affordable cost. All players pay dues. Community sponsors help to defray the financial burden on our families.
     

  • The intensity and length of each season causes wear and tear on equipment and gear. Replacement equipment and new training aids are used to help sustain and grow the program and are enjoyed by everyone including players in our Youth program.
     

  • Our high school participants travel to tournaments throughout GA and also to TN this fall in an effort to compete against a varied pool of competition. Travel expenses can be considerable and are reduced dramatically with help from our community.
